Woody was a Marine veteran, serving during the Korean War in 1950-51. He landed at Inchon with the 7th Regiment, 1st Marine Division and participated in the liberation of Seoul. He was a proud member of the Marines’ legendary Chosin Few, an honor he earned at 19 years old, fighting in North Korea’s Chosin Reservoir.
