Larry Rothel, Granbury, enlisted in the Army, April 2, 1970.  He served with lst Cav Div, lst Squadron, 9th Cav, Troop A.

Rothel died when his helicopter on a mission in Binh Duong province, Cambodia, received intense gun fire, was shot down and crashed.  There were no survivors.   Rothel is buried in the Cresson Cemetery.
